Emily Kruspe

Violoniste – 28 ans

An avid chamber musician, Toronto-born violinist Emily Kruspe is the winner of several competitions and has been awarded many prices over the years, such as the Gerhard Kander Graduating Award, the Felix Galimir Chamber Music Award and the Orford String Quartet Scholarship. She participated in numerous festivals, collaborated with accomplished chamber music musicians, as well as numerous ensembles, and as a soloist with the Royal Conservatory Orchestra, the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra and the National Ballet Orchestra of Canada.

Emily completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto under Erika Raum, and obtained an Artist Diploma at the Glenn Gould School under Paul Kantor and Barry Shiffman. 

Emily performs on a 1900 Stefano Scarampella violin, generously on loan from the Musical Instrument Bank of the Canada Council for the Arts.
