Christina Bouey

Violinist – 31 years old

According to the New York Post, “When violinist Christina Bouey spun out that shimmering tune, I thought I died and went to heaven”. She recently won 1st Prize at the Schoenfeld International String Competition in the chamber division, Grand Prize at the Fischoff Competition, and 2nd prize at the Osaka International Chamber Competition. In addition, her ensemble, the Ulysses Quartet, was chosen as the next graduate quartet in residence at Juilliard for 2019-21. Christina has performed as soloist with dozens of ensembles and her credits include prestigious venues such as the Carnegie Hall, the Metropolitan Museum of Art or the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center.

Christina graduated from the Manhattan School of Music under the direction of Glenn Dicterow and Lisa Kim.

Christina plays the 1728 “Artot” Stradivarius on generous loan from the Juilliard School and the 1820 Pressenda on generous loan from the Musical Instrument Bank of the Canada Council for the Arts.
